Politicians fail to win credibility vote
The majority of Greeks trust teachers and doctors, while less than one in 10 consider politicians to be trustworthy, according to research results made public yesterday. A worldwide survey conducted by research group GFK found that the Greeks are the least satisfied in the world when it comes to their political leaders. «In Germany, despite the change of government… the (trust rating) figure was just 10 percent and in Greece and Italy, where there have also been some recent changes in government, the score was down to 8 percent,» GFK said. Doctors and teachers ranked at the top of the most credible professions with 66 and 68 percent of those surveyed saying they trusted them. In Greece, at least two-thirds expressed a lack of trust in the clergy, GFK added.
