Pakistanis find ‘secret prisons’

Some of the Pakistani men who allege they were kidnapped by secret services in Greece last summer have identified several interrogation centers that they believe they were taken to, sources said yesterday. The Pakistanis allegedly recognized areas in Halkoutsi, eastern Attica; Aspropyrgos, west of Athens; Mount Parnitha, northern Athens; and Aghia Paraskevi, northeast Athens. The alleged victims have not made an official comment but are expected to give more details soon. Petros Constantinou of the Stop The War coalition claimed yesterday that there are «secret prisons» in Greece. «We definitely do not want to see another Guantanamo in Greece,» he said. A prosecutor filed charges in May against unidentified suspects over the alleged abduction of the Pakistanis, whose lawyer, Frangiskos Ragousis, has asked for an investigating magistrate to be assigned to the case.
