Justice Minister…

Justice Minister Anastassis Papaligouras yesterday inaugurated the 28th annual exhibition of handicrafts made by inmates of the country’s prisons in Plateia Dikaiosinis (Justice Square) in central Athens. The crafts included crochet tablecloths, coasters, painted wine racks and a variety of ornaments. ‘These works express a lust for life along with a need for expression conveyed through the universal language of art,’ Papaligouras said. The minister praised the inmates for ‘proving that they have not given up hope.’
