Students in orange jackets reading ‘Parthenon marbles – Reunification now’ form a human chain around the rock of the ancient Acropolis in Athens yesterday. Around 2,000 students and teachers joined the demonstration to demand the return of the Parthenon marbles, which are currently housed in the British Museum. Protest organizers said they had collected 65,000 signatures and sent 900 letters of protest to the director of the British Museum Neil MacGregor.
