‘It’s good to show that there was a reaction’
Xanthi’s great love is the theater, which is why she lives in Athens. At the same time, she studies in Crete. Since no exams took place this semester, this saved her a few trips. Although she has been a little out of touch with her university, she agrees with the student reactions and does not believe the new measures will help education. «I think the sit-ins are right, even if nothing changes in the end. It’s good to show that there was a reaction. Whatever happens, I do not think we have lost time because of the protests.» She has many dreams for the future. She would like to do postgraduate studies abroad and combine theater with her studies. «I would like to live outside Greece for many years. I want to see and learn about things abroad. I reckon it must better there. I feel that Athens has little to offer culturally.« Xanthi has left her options open, to see how things develop, then she will make a decision.
