Dr Willett’s advice

1. Watch your weight. It is more important not to be overweight than to eat any specific amount of carbohydrates or to take the necessary antioxidants. 2. Eat less bad fat and more good fat. Fat from nuts, fish and olive oil is good for the health. 3. Eat less processed carbohydrates and choose wholemeal products. 4. Choose fish, nuts and beans for protein instead of red meat. 5. Eat fruit and vegetables in abundance but reduce potato consumption. 6. Drink small quantities of alcohol.
