The exhibition
The Benaki Museum exhibition is organized by the Greek Institute for Architecture in collaboration with the Portuguese Embassy in Athens and the Pireos Street annex of the Benaki Museum. It will run through to May 13. The exhibition focuses on the work of Alvaro Siza (b. 1933) and is one part of a large-scale presentation of his work taking place concurrently in Tokyo, Brazil and Switzerland. The exhibit brings together designs, photographs and models of 16 of his most representative works, all of which were created between 1955 and the present. Among them are Oporto’s Contemporary Art Museum, the Serpentine Gallery in London, the Church of Santa Maria in Portugal, and others. Benaki Museum, 138 Pireos, Gazi, tel 210.345.3111.
