Greek President…

Greek President Karolos Papoulias (c) and his wife, Mey, look at an old cover of Time magazine displaying a photo of Colonel Georgios Papadopoulos, who led the military junta in 1967. Papoulias inaugurated an exhibition, at the City of Athens Arts Center, of documents and materials gathered during the military dictatorship, which ran from 1967 to 1974. The exhibition has been organized to mark the 40th anniversary of the start of the junta, on April 21, by an association of people who were jailed or exiled during those years. The association’s president, Fotis Provatas, said the exhibition was dedicated to ‘today’s young generation.’
