The political leadership is being terrorized by 70-100 young people smashing up the city center. Everyone knows who they are but no one is ever arrested. Who is to blame? The minister, the Greek police, the judiciary, who? The problem with the activities of these people has been plaguing Greek society for three decades. Quite rightly, people are outraged by these repeated acts of violence and destruction. However, we know what we are doing. Under no circumstances is violence acceptable, not gas bombs, burning cars or breaking shop windows. And most of all, the outrageous attacks on police targets. Illegal acts of violence will be eliminated and the perpetrators arrested. Let those who would attack law and order be aware of that. Of course, it will also have to be seen as a social problem. Every social group, political party and parents will have to assume their responsibilities.
