Defense Minister Evangelos Meimarakis is pictured yesterday on the island of Karpathos, unveiling a plaque with the name of Greek air force pilot Costas Iliakis, who was killed a year ago in a midair collision over the Aegean. Iliakis, 35, was killed when his fighter jet collided with a Turkish jet a few miles southeast of the island.
