Education Minister Petros Efthymiou yesterday inaugurated the new building of the Anavryta school in northern Athens. The former private boarding school on the Syngros estate at Maroussi now functions as a model state school. Its original buildings, including a neo-gothic chapel, have deteriorated over the years to a state of near-collapse, while the grounds are run down and all but abandoned.
