A man takes time out to rest in the shade of a tree in Syntagma Square, central Athens, yesterday as the weather gets warmer this weekend. The temperature in the capital is expected to reach 32 Celsius (90 Fahrenheit) today, with warmer weather expected tomorrow. According to meteorologists, northerly winds are expected to help cool the city over the weekend. Temperatures, however, are likely to remain high, around the 35C (95F) mark, for the start of next week with a drop in temperature not expected until Tuesday.
