A couple of thousand demonstrators braved yesterday’s spring showers to march through the center of Athens during a 24-hour strike called by a group of labor unions against planned reforms to Greece’s ailing social security system. Ferries remained docked in Piraeus, but sailed from Rafina. Hospital workers and schoolteachers were also on strike.
