Police have launched a search for a woman in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki, after she stabbed a policeman while she was taking an evening stroll along the beach with her baby. Police said the officer stopped the woman in the district of Aretso late on Monday and asked to see her identification. It was not clear what prompted the check. The suspect, however, refused to cooperate with the officer who then instructed her to accompany him to a nearby police station. She then pulled out a knife from her bag and stabbed the policeman before running off, dragging the baby along with her in the stroller, according to authorities. The policeman was taken to a nearby hospital for the slight injury and was discharged shortly afterward.
