Mystery shooter fires on two hotel workers
A 23-year-old woman was being treated for a gunshot wound in a Thessaloniki hospital yesterday after someone fired at the car in which she was traveling with a colleague near the northern port city. Police said that the victim, along with her 44-year-old workmate, had left the hotel where they work in Melissohori and were driving along a country road at around 11.30 p.m. on Thursday when someone shot at the vehicle. Neither of the women was able to see the gunman, who disappeared after firing the shot. The 23-year-old suffered more serious injuries but the 44-year-old was only slightly hurt. Both are being treated at the AHEPA hospital in Thessaloniki and doctors said neither was in danger. Police meanwhile have begun questioning other employees at the hotel.
