Chance to see different part of Europe

Twenty-three-year-old Stathis Mallouchos, a final-year student of organization and business management at the Athens University of Economics and Business, was highly impressed by his sojourn at the University of Copenhagen. Taking part in the Erasmus scheme, he attended courses at the Danish university for a semester. «I chose Denmark so that I could see something different to the European south. I felt as though I had traveled to another planet. The university is highly organized, the lectures are in English, the teachers are open in their communication with the students, and the facilities much better than at a Greek university. I was particularly impressed by the way in which exams were held. The exams took four hours with books open and the students’ names covered to prevent favoritism,» he said. «Copenhagen is a safe city. Most people go around on bikes. The city helps you live healthily,» Mallouchos added. His experience with the Erasmus program was such that he decided to take part in the Students’ Erasmus Association and is now its president.
