‘Productivity of Culture’…
Two girls walk past a banner adorned with children’s paintings outside the Zappeion Hall in central Athens yesterday. They are among many paintings created by children in different countries to express their diverse concepts of ‘peace’ and were displayed as part of a symposium on the ‘Productivity of Culture’ running at the Zappeion Hall until tomorrow. The symposium, organized by the Network of European Cultural Capitals and Months, was opened by Athens Mayor Nikitas Kaklamanis. The aim of the symposium, according to organizers, is to assess the role of museums and other cultural bodies in boosting cultural policy.
