A pensioner shouts a slogan outside the Employment Ministry in central Athens as some 2,000 pensioners demanded higher social security payments. Holding banners that read ‘Decent pensions for decent people,’ pensioners, some with walking sticks, marched from the central Athens city hall to the Employment Ministry. The ruling conservatives have vowed to reform the system which experts say could collapse in 15 years due to an aging population.
