Teenager stabs schoolgirl, 13
An 18-year-old man appeared before a prosecutor in Athens yesterday on suspicion of stabbing a 13-year-old schoolgirl following an argument between the pair in the eastern neighborhood of Pangrati. The girl was taken to the hospital with a minor thigh injury but was later released. The 18-year-old was charged with using abusive language and causing bodily harm. Sources said that the teenager is known to police and is suspected of being part of a group of vandals that recently ransacked a school complex in Pangrati. The incident between the two teenagers was the second involving knives in recent days. A 35-year-old woman from Nikaia was charged with attempted murder yesterday after her 13-year-old son and her 30-year-old lover both suffered stab wounds during an argument at the family’s home.
