Farmers pour milk onto a Thessaloniki street yesterday as they protest difficult conditions in the industry and call for financial aid from the government. Farmers argue that a cartel in the industry keeps prices at which they can sell low, harming their incomes. Agriculture Minister Alexandros Kontos said the government will continue to provide them with support in a draft bill to be submitted soon to Parliament.
