Blooming balconies in Athens
A campaign by the City of Athens to encourage the capital’s residents to cover their roof terraces and balconies with greenery as a way of improving the city’s atmosphere begins with an exhibition in Kotzia Square beginning on May 6 and titled «First Green Rooftops – Blooming Balconies.» To run until May 12, the exhibition is part of the municipality’s efforts to raise citizens’ awareness of the environment in the city and their neighborhoods. The opening on Tuesday evening by Athens Mayor Nikitas Kaklamanis will include a spring concert of Greek popular music.
