Missing brothers found dead in well

The bodies of two brothers, aged 44 and 47, who disappeared from Metamorphosis, northern Athens, on Monday after going to a local cafe to watch a soccer match, were found yesterday at the bottom of a well on Dionysiou Avenue in the northern suburb of Dionysos. After the wives of the two men reported them missing, the car in which they had been traveling was found near the well on Tuesday. Their bodies were found with the help of a microcamera and retrieved by rescue squad (EMAK) divers after the well was drained. Police believe one of the brothers had gone to the side of the well to relieve himself and stumbled into it. His brother is thought to have fallen in while trying to help him.
