EU discussions on Lisbon Treaty crisis
Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis arrives in Luxembourg yesterday for a meeting of EU foreign ministers, which was expected to focus on the impact of Ireland’s decision to reject the Lisbon Treaty in a referendum last week. The decision has plunged the 27-nation bloc into a new period of institutional uncertainty. The issue of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia’s (FYROM) name dispute with Greece was also raised during the talks.
