Olympiakos stretches lead

Olympiakos extended its lead at the top of the Super League by two points yesterday thanks to a hard-fought 1-0 home win over Levadiakos, as second-placed PAOK was held to a 1-1 draw at home by Asteras Tripolis. Argentinean Fernando Belluschi got the only goal of the game for the Piraeus club, which lifts the reigning champion to 32 points after 13 games, six ahead of PAOK. Panathinaikos are third with 23 points after scraping a 2-1 win at Xanthi on Saturday, despite finishing the game with 10 men after Josu Sarriegi was sent off. Croatian Ante Rukavina grabbed the winner for the Greens. AEK picked up a 1-0 win over Panthrakikos to give Dusan Bajevic his first win in his third spell in charge of the club, but the other games yesterday ended in draws. Panionios drew 1-1 with Larissa and it was the same score between Iraklis and Thrasyvoulos. On Saturday, Aris beat OFI 1-0 on Crete and Ergotelis won 2-0 at Panserraikos.
