Messy fun on Clean Monday in Galaxidi
A couple celebrate Clean Monday yesterday by participating in a colorful flour war in the seaside town of Galaxidi, central Greece. The tradition of throwing flour at each other, colored or plain, marks the end of the Carnival season. In other parts of the country people enjoyed the clement weather with less messy pursuits, such as flying kites, attending village parties and performing traditional dances.
