Creator of child porn site arrested in Sparta
A 21-year-old man from a village in the southern Peloponnese has been arrested on charges of running a child pornography website, police said yesterday. The man, whose name was not given but who used the pseudonym «Mitsos the Best,» had set up a site containing around 3,000 pornographic photographs of children aged 7-17, mostly of Eastern European origin, police said. Police arrested the man in his home village of Skala, Laconia, after a two-week investigation and seized two computers, a number of CD-ROMs and computer disks containing incriminating material which «Mitsos» said he had obtained from foreign websites. The site also had a chat room for people seeking sexual partners. According to police, the man, from a wealthy family, was a school dropout. He has no prior police record.
