Reform of primary and secondary education…

Education Minister Aris Spiliotopoulos (r) and University of Athens professor Georgios Babiniotis, who is chairing the councils for the reform of primary and secondary education, exit Maximos Mansion after a meeting with Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis yesterday. Spiliotopoulos said he was happy with the progress being made by the councils, which are aiming to come up with changes that will give pupils a more rounded education rather than simply prepare them for university entrance exams. ‘We expect to submit our proposals in October,’ Babiniotis told Kathimerini.
