Not on election alert…
Culture Minister Antonis Samaras is seen leaving Maximos Mansion yesterday after a Cabinet meeting. Samaras was one of three ministers who spoke to journalists after the meeting, insisting that Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis is not considering calling early elections. ‘We are progressing well; we have work to do,’ he told reporters when questioned about a possible snap poll. ‘The government is not on election alert,’ said Education Minister Aris Spiliotopoulos. ‘I am one of those that believes the government has to see out its four-year term,’ Employment Minister Fani Palli-Petralia responded.
