Forest fire…
Firefighters look on as a water- dropping airplane flies over an area of Corinthia in the Peloponnese, where a forest fire was raging yesterday. The blaze, in the area of Amoni in the Solygeia municipality, was brought under control last night. However, wildfires were still raging in Thebes, northwest of Athens. Almost 100 firefighters were last night battling several fronts near the village of Prodromos. Crops and olive groves in the area had been damaged but there were no reports of any injuries or homes being burned.
