Beaches empty as holidays end, for most
Bathers enjoyed some breathing space on the country’s beaches yesterday after the last major wave of holidaymakers returned to the city over the weekend. The arrival of September was accompanied by a drop in temperatures, gray clouds moving in over the capital and short bouts of heavy rain.
