Police and motorists survey the scene of a car crash on the Athens-Patra national highway near Corinth, where a 30-year-old woman and her 6-year-old daughter were killed yesterday after an oncoming driver veered out of the opposite lane and hit their car head-on. Also yesterday, a 31-year-old motorcyclist was killed on the national road linking Hania and Rethymno, Crete. Yesterday’s road deaths were three of 13 reported since the beginning of the week. On Monday, two fans of the Athens soccer team Panathinaikos were killed, and another seven injured, in a crash on the Athens-Lamia national road.
