Liberation from Nazis remembered
Members of the armed forces salute the Greek flag in front of the Parthenon yesterday to mark the annual anniversary of Athens’s liberation from Nazi occupation in 1944. Among those attending the ceremony were Prime Minister George Papandreou as well as numerous schoolchildren from Athens.
