Michalis Christoforakos…

Former Siemens Hellas CEO Michalis Christoforakos, seen in this file photo, was yesterday released by German authorities after almost four months in custody. A Bamberg Appeals Court spokesman said judges decided to repeal two warrants for the former executive’s arrest and to accept his request to be released after Greek authorities failed twice in their bid to extradite Christoforakos, accused of being the key player in a widespread cash-for-contracts scandal. Christoforkos posted 250,000 euros bail and was ordered to make Germany his permanent home and to appear regularly at his local police station.
