Energy efficiency of buildings…
Environment, Energy and Climate Change Minister Tina Birbili listens to a reporter’s question during a press conference yesterday during which she heralded a new set of regulations that foresee a review of the energy efficiency of buildings, whether old or new, when they are sold or leased. The regulations also envisage the introduction of financial and tax incentives for the construction of energy-efficient buildings. The regulations will be open to public consultation over the next three weeks, after which they are to be submitted to Parliament.
