Bomb blast outside US bank in city center

Police officers guard the entrance to the block housing the offices of US investment bank JP Morgan in the upmarket Athens district of Kolonaki yesterday after a time bomb detonated outside the bank’s premises, causing damage but no injuries. The blast, on the second floor of the building, followed an anonymous tip-off telephoned in to the daily Eleftherotypia. There had been no claim of responsibility by late last night.
