Myrtis, a scientific reconstruction of an 11-year-old girl who lived and died in ancient Athens, is seen on display at the Goulandris Natural History Museum. The girl was the victim of a plague that killed many Athenians, including Pericles. Her bones were found in a mass grave in 1994.
