Flower power drives May Day celebration
One of several floral displays created by the City of Athens to mark May Day is seen in the center of the capital yesterday. Greeks traditionally make wreaths on May Day as a way of celebrating spring. May Day also marks International Workers’ Day, or Labor Day, and some professions do not work or hold stoppages to mark the occasion.
