Soccer enthusiasts take their skills to the street
Young Athenians enjoy a game of five-a-side soccer in central Athens yesterday, when temperatures reached 28 degrees Celsius, sending thousands of city-dwellers to the seaside. The makeshift pitch was one of several set up along Panepistimiou Street in a City Hall initiative aimed at encouraging youth sport. Basketball courts were also set up.
