Metro running this weekend, closed Monday
A notice informs commuters yesterday that the Athens metro is closed due to a strike. Metro workers, who also walked off the job on Wednesday and Thursday to protest the nonrenewal of contracts for 286 colleagues, said they would also go on strike on Monday, when they will meet to decide on any further action. The metro will be running this weekend.
