Thunder and lightning, very, very frightening
A flash of lightning illuminates the sky above the Parthenon during a heavy rainstorm in Athens early yesterday. The heavy rain led to the fire service receiving 28 calls from residents in the city’s northern suburbs to help pump water out of basements. The lightning also caused streetlights and traffic lights to go out in some parts of the capital.
