TEI campus pot grower caught

A 24-year-old man has been arrested on Crete after police caught him red-handed as he was about to tend to cannabis trees that he had planted amid an olive grove on the grounds of the Technical Educational Institute of Crete (TEI) in Iraklio. Police said on Saturday that they had placed the particular spot under observation after finding two illegal shrubs there. The 24-year-old was arrested while attempting to water the plants. His name was not made public and officers did not reveal whether he was a student at the college. Also on Crete, a 67-year-old Greek American was arrested after police raided his home and found that he was cultivating 63 cannabis trees in his backyard. Officers also seized a small amount of cannabis on the premises. Police said they conducted a raid after a tip-off. They did not name the man they arrested.
