Two air force F16 fighter jets…

Two air force F16 fighter jets like those seen in this file photo collided yesterday while on a training exercise south of Crete. One of the pilots was killed while another pilot and co-pilot were rescued from the sea. One of the two suffered internal bleeding and underwent an immediate operation while the other had broken limbs. None of the pilots was named. The two planes were involved in a mock dogfight when the accident occurred. It is only the third time that Greek air force jets have been involved in a midair collision.
