Greece win over Puerto Rico
Vassilis Spanoulis speaks with Greece’s basketball coach, Jonas Kazlauskas, during yesterday’s 83-80 win over Puerto Rico in Group C at the World Championship in Turkey. Greece was trailing its opponent at halftime but rallied in the final two periods to win the game. Spanoulis led the scoring with 28 points, his highest ever total for the national team. In its opening match on Saturday, Greece beat China 89-81. Greece will welcome back two suspended players, Antonis Fotsis and Sofoklis Schortsanitis, for tomorrow’s vital game against host Turkey.
