Public transport companies…

A megaphone is seen yesterday in a street in central Athens cordoned off by police to accommodate a demonstration by employees of public transport companies. The workers staged work stoppages to protest planned jobs cuts and changes to collective labor agreements. The country’s main labor and civil servants’ unions staged a protest rally later in the day. The rally drew a relatively small crowd and ended with no reports of trouble.
