Ship brings 2,500 tourists to Thessaloniki
Residents of Thessaloniki walk past the Westerdam cruise liner, a 285-meter vessel that docked at the northern port yesterday with some 2,500 passengers aboard. The ship, which belongs to US-based company Holland America, brought a much-needed boost to Thessaloniki, which has seen cruise-liner tourist figures plummet over the past two years.
