AEK win sends Greens to top
Panathinaikos moved to joint top of the soccer Super League on 27 points after its 2-0 away win over Kerkyra last night and Olympiakos’s 1-0 loss on Saturday at AEK. French star Djibril Cisse scored twice in the second half for the Greens, the first time from the penalty spot, to take his chart-topping tally to 12 goals. AEK won its second derby this season, after beating Panathinaikos last month, courtesy of a late Ismael Blanco tap-in from close range. Eight points off the pace, AEK is joint third with Kavala, who drew 1-1 at Olympiakos Volou. Atromitos upset host PAOK with a 1-0 win in Thessaloniki, while Panionios moved off the bottom, beating Iraklis 1-0. Panserraikos downed Aris 1-0 in a game that started on Saturday and finished yesterday due to fog. Ergotelis beat Larissa 2-1 and Xanthi won 2-1 at Asteras Tripolis.
