Support of university students…
The shoes of several students involved in minor skirmishes with police in central Athens yesterday lie in the road before a line of riot policemen. Some 1,000 people took part in a march to the British Embassy in support of university students in the UK who are currently opposing the coalition government’s plans to triple tuition fees. Three protesters were detained but later released. There were no reports of any serious injuries.
