Defense Minister Yiannos Papantoniou, in Istanbul for a regional meeting, yesterday visited the Hagia Sophia Church in the city center. Later, Papantoniou met Greek Orthodox Patriarch Vartholomaios at the patriarchate in Istanbul’s Phanar district. Greece and Turkey agreed last week to set up a hot line between their defense ministers. «Let all sorts of profiteers eat on their own,» an INKA statement said. «We will not sit down to table with them.» INKA claimed over 50-percent consumer participation in the September 3 boycott.
