Street market vendors set up roadblocks…
Street market vendors yesterday set up roadblocks on highways to prevent fresh produce from getting to Athens. This is part of a protest against what they say is a government effort to get them to use cash registers. Today they begin an indefinite strike. The Finance Ministry says that only vendors selling goods such as clothes, shoes and household products would have to issue receipts from cash registers from next year.
