In a meeting in Moscow yesterday with his Greek counterpart, George Papandreou (r), Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov voiced hope that friendly ties with Greece would help Moscow bolster its relations with the European Union when Athens takes over the rotating EU presidency next year.
